JOB-1505

Our client is an AI startup that has just won a first government pilot and needs a senior engineer to carry its platform into a locked-down, high-security cloud environment. The job leans toward backend work and combines security-sensitive engineering with some AI pipeline work.

Scope

  • Re-create the company’s tech stack inside a government-grade Azure environment, emphasizing reliability, stability and security
  • Design and implement data separation by clearance tier, ensuring every person sees only information up to their own clearance
  • Keep the backend dependable and grow the infrastructure as more government users arrive; roughly 70 percent backend and 30 percent frontend
  • Partner with the machine learning engineer on migrating RAG pipelines, benchmarking models and reducing spend
  • Coordinate with the main platform group so new features reach the government deployment

About you

  • Five to ten years as a full stack engineer, including at least a year of work in DoD IL5 settings
  • Strong React, Next.js and Python skills
  • Machine learning, RAG and LLM experience, plus hands-on use of a major cloud AI platform
  • At least a year at a startup between seed and Series B
  • CS or STEM bachelor’s degree and the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
