JOB-1491
Our client runs a crypto-markets trading platform that operates in real time and is growing its in-person engineering team. The role centers on the backend systems that keep trades, settlement and risk checks fast and correct.
What you’ll build
- Liquidation and risk-management engines that limit exposure and make better use of capital when markets swing
- Blockchain state machines supporting trading flows, settlement and risk handling
- Services that keep state consistent across asynchronous processes through voting, consensus and other coordination protocols
- Pipelines that consume real-time market feeds and orchestrate actions across several trading venues over WebSocket streams
- Quick, reliable WebSocket and REST APIs behind the trading front end, with latency measured in milliseconds
What you bring
- Two to four years as a backend engineer, with production Rust in your background
- Solid grasp of asynchronous programming, for example with Tokio, plus systems-level knowledge
- Experience with real-time, high-throughput services beyond simple data pipelines
- Working knowledge of relational, time-series and key-value databases
- Startup experience and a real interest in trading or financial markets
- Personal projects in Rust or C that you can show
On-site in New York, NY. TN visas and H1B transfers can be supported.
