JOB-1488

A recently funded Series B insurance-technology company is adding to a compact engineering group. The hire will learn the client’s business from the inside and build AI-driven internal tooling that lets operations staff automate their own processes.

Day to day

  • Spend most of your time writing code, owning features across the whole stack with React and TypeScript on the front end and Node and Python behind it
  • Sit down regularly with business users, dissect manual processes such as invoicing, approvals and PDF wrangling, and build the platform components that replace them
  • Integrate inbound email, document creation and third-party APIs including DocuSign
  • Ship production features where LLMs and agents are central to how the platform works
  • Give part of your week to roadmap planning alongside product managers plus business stakeholders
  • Lean on AI assistants while coding, while knowing when to hand-write sensitive areas such as access control and domain modeling

Profile

  • Three to six years as a full-time software engineer after graduating, at a company with a demanding engineering culture
  • Genuine full-stack product experience; infrastructure-only or CI/CD-only backgrounds will not fit
  • Production delivery of LLM or agentic features and clear views on AI-assisted development
  • Comfort working directly with end users to understand how they operate; no insurance knowledge required
  • Interest in shipping user-facing features rather than a leadership-track founding role

Hybrid in New York, NY. Work visas are not supported for this position.
