A venture-backed healthcare AI startup is hiring someone to be fully accountable for a set of AI agents that automate clinical work. The position sits between product, engineering and customers, and it suits a former engineer who has moved toward product or company-building.
Your focus
- Take each clinical agent from first concept through launch and ongoing improvement, coordinating sprints with engineers
- Read pull requests, write code with AI-assisted tools such as Cursor or Codex, and challenge technical decisions when needed
- Meet customers to understand their clinical workflows and pain points, then scope new agents or upgrades
- Decide how each agent is judged and watched once live, including metrics and likely failure modes
- Plan the future of your agents and spot patterns that repeat across customers so they become reusable features
What you bring
- Three to five years as a software engineer who moved into product or founded an early-stage company
- At least two years of hands-on engineering and shipped production code
- Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript, React or Node
- Background in healthcare, whether clinical operations, health tech or healthcare AI
- Early product, founding-engineer or technical-leadership experience at a startup
- Comfort with ambiguity and the credibility to work alongside clinicians and customers
Hybrid in New York, NY, with at least three days a week in the office. Visa sponsorship and transfers are not available.
