JOB SUMMARY

An expanding U.S. manufacturer is looking for a seasoned Human Resources Manager to oversee HR functions at its Houston-area facility. This onsite, hands-on position supports a workforce of 300+ employees in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Oversee payroll processing through ADP and administers employee benefits programs, including healthcare, retirement plans, defined benefit, and 401(k).
  • Partner with staffing and employee leasing agencies to fulfill production staffing requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management on HR policies, employment law, and compliance matters.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential employee records.
  • Support workforce development through training and safety program initiatives.
  • Enhance and scale HR processes to align with company growth.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. institution in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, including at least 2 years within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience managing payroll and benefits administration, with ADP strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in administering healthcare and retirement/401(k) plans.
  • Consistent and stable employment history, with 2+ years in each of the most recent roles.
  • Onsite role; candidates must reside within 40 minutes of the Telge Road area in Houston.
  • Spanish language proficiency required.

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, or lean manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of HR reporting, metrics, and workforce analytics.
  • Background in managing HR functions for teams with a significant proportion of leased or temporary employees.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility across all organizational levels.
  • Comfortable serving as the primary HR lead in a stand-alone HR function.
