Job Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Legal Secretary for its Sausalito office. This full-time role supports attorneys in all phases of litigation, including document preparation, calendaring, and case management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and able to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and emails.
- Assemble materials for court filings, hearings, arbitrations, depositions, and mediations.
- Maintain attorney calendars and track critical deadlines.
- Manage incoming mail and emails; organize client and chronological files.
- Schedule meetings and travel; assist with pitch materials and presentations.
- Operate transcription equipment, copiers, fax machines, and other standard office tools.
- Provide additional administrative and marketing support as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Prior litigation legal secretary experience.
- Typing speed of at least 70 WPM.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with iManage preferred.
- Strong proofreading and document formatting skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple workloads and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and interpersonal skills for working with attorneys, clients, and staff.
