Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Manager of Technology Training to lead the strategy, development, and delivery of firmwide learning initiatives. Based in the New York office, this role is responsible for designing blended learning solutions, overseeing training technologies, managing content development, and leading a team of Learning & Development professionals. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in adult learning, content creation, and program execution within a professional services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to design and implement effective, role-based training programs.
  • Lead the creation of blended learning experiences, combining live instruction, e-learning, and just-in-time digital content.
  • Set strategic priorities for firmwide learning initiatives, from onboarding to continuous professional development.
  • Oversee the Learning Management System (LMS): course definition, content management, reporting, and learning path development. Manage a team of Learning & Development specialists, including trainers and content creators.
  • Design interactive digital learning materials using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Replay, Adobe Creative Suite, and Audacity.
  • Develop and report on key performance metrics for training adoption and effectiveness to senior leadership.
  • Curate and manage technology communications, including updates, tips, and adoption campaigns.
  • Deliver live and virtual training sessions; facilitate “train-the-trainer” programs as needed.
  • Maintain relationships with external training content vendors and evaluate new technologies for potential adoption.
  • Monitor trends in adult learning, instructional design, and user engagement to continually enhance the firm’s training ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; focus in Education, Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience designing and delivering training programs, with a focus on blended learning and digital content.
  • Experience leading learning initiatives in a professional services or law firm environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple high-impact training projects and teams.
  • Advanced communication, facilitation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise with content development tools (Articulate, Adobe Premiere, Snag-It, etc.) and LMS platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret training metrics and make data-informed decisions.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Willingness to work onsite at least 3 days per week, or more, per firm policy.
