Job Description

Our client is seeking a visionary and results-driven Senior Director of IT to lead the delivery of enterprise infrastructure, applications, and IT operations. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this leadership role oversees core IT functions including on-premise and cloud infrastructure, user support (Levels 1–3), service management, and application oversight. The Senior Director of IT will drive innovation, optimize operational performance, and align IT initiatives with the firm’s business strategy and long-term goals.

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision and roadmap for enterprise IT services, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead and evolve the IT infrastructure and operations (I&O) strategy across cloud, SaaS, and on-prem platforms.
  • Partner with stakeholders and firm leadership to align IT service portfolios with firm priorities.
  • Oversee enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) and asset management programs.
  • Drive continuous improvement and service innovation through data-driven decision-making and agile methodologies.
  • Lead the adoption of emerging technologies including AI, ML, automation, and self-service solutions.
  • Develop and manage IT budgets, resource allocation, and vendor strategies, including nearshore/offshore partnerships.
  • Ensure IT compliance with legal, audit, risk, and data governance frameworks.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and stakeholders on technology strategy and performance.
  • Mentor and manage IT team leads and support staff to ensure high performance and career development.
  • Support enterprise-wide cloud transformation and modernization efforts in alignment with architecture frameworks.
  • Implement performance tracking systems using KPIs, OKRs, and outcome-driven metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT leadership, ideally within a legal or professional services environment.
  • At least 7 years of demonstrated experience leading infrastructure, cloud adoption, and digital transformation.
  • Proven track record of implementing agile, DevOps, and hybrid cloud strategies at scale.
  • Deep understanding of cloud financial operations (FinOps), Capex/Opex models, and IT budgeting practices.
  • Experience developing enterprise IT governance, service improvement plans, and vendor performance metrics.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills with a strategic and operational mindset.
  • Hands-on experience with building and managing fusion teams, AI/ML integration, and customer-centric IT delivery.
