Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly detail-oriented Legal Billing Specialist to join its Revenue Management team in New York City. This full-time, hybrid role is responsible for managing the end-to-end invoice preparation and submission process. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and analytical skills, and demonstrate a proactive, solutions-focused approach to supporting attorneys and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Edit prebills using Prebill Viewer and Aderant based on attorney instructions.
  • Generate a high volume of complex invoices in accordance with client and firm guidelines.
  • Ensure invoices meet billing compliance standards and include necessary supporting documentation.
  • Submit electronic invoices via platforms such as E-Billing Hub and manage supporting materials.
  • Monitor and address rejected or reduced invoices promptly, including appeals when necessary.
  • Respond to attorney and client billing inquiries. Support ad hoc billing projects and reporting requests as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of legal billing experience required.
  • Proficiency with billing systems such as Aderant, Elite/3E, Prebill Viewer, E-Billing Hub, and BillBlast preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and client service orientation.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
