Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Client Account Manager to join its Financial Operations team. This role manages the full billing and collections lifecycle for a dedicated portfolio of attorneys and clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service delivery. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end billing, collections, and account management for assigned attorney/client portfolios.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and pricing teams to establish and manage alternate fee arrangements, budgets, and rate structures.
  • Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines, e-billing systems, and engagement terms.
  • Review, edit, finalize, and submit invoices, resolving discrepancies and handling client inquiries directly.
  • Forecast monthly billing and collections activity based on attorney input.
  • Manage client trust accounts, apply payments, and resolve unapplied funds or billing issues.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide reporting to support matter profitability and strategy.
  • Lead collection discussions with attorneys and develop tailored follow-up plans.
  • Contribute to process improvement projects and share best practices with the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • 3+ years of billing, collections, or account management experience; law firm or professional services background strongly preferred.
  • Experience with complex billing arrangements and financial analysis. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, client service mindset.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and deliver accurate, detailed work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Familiarity with international clients and e-billing platforms a plus.
