Job Description

Our client is seeking a Manager, Billing & Collections to lead the creation and execution of a centralized training and development function. This role will oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training of billing and collections professionals worldwide, ensuring alignment with firm policies, process consistency, and high-performance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver foundational through advanced training for global Billing & Collections staff.
  • Lead onboarding programs and annual refresher training; manage feedback loops to refine content.
  • Oversee documentation of billing/collections policies and procedures.
  • Partner with HR and leadership to recruit and develop top-tier Billing Assistants and Coordinators.
  • Create evaluation rubrics and performance standards to guide promotions and transitions.
  • Support leadership in driving strategic billing initiatives and process improvements.
  • Serve as a resource for complex billing/collections issues, ensuring cross-office consistency.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and adapt strategy as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years of training or billing leadership experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Proven leadership with the ability to manage, mentor, and motivate teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with systems like 3E and eBillingHub preferred.
  • Experience in international or multi-office environments is a plus.
