Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Billing Analyst to join its Global Finance team. This individual will play a critical role in managing the billing lifecycle by ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant client invoicing. Operating as part of a global billing group, the ideal candidate will be a team player who can balance productivity with accuracy and bring a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Process client invoices, ensuring alignment with client billing agreements, tax rules, and firm billing policies.
- Upload invoices to client e-billing platforms as needed, ensuring complete and timely submissions.
- Collaborate closely with attorneys, executive assistants, and client value analysts to gather billing instructions and apply necessary edits.
- Perform authorized time and cost transfers, write-offs, and write-downs accurately.
- Maintain clear documentation and audit trails for all billing activity in compliance with internal and external standards.
- Independently manage workload and timelines to meet billing cycles and internal deadlines.
- Ensure adherence to client Outside Counsel Billing Guidelines and resolve any inconsistencies or violations proactively.
- Investigate and resolve billing-related inquiries, collaborating with internal stakeholders and client contacts to clarify discrepancies. Support the onboarding and training of new billing team members.
- Provide coverage for colleagues during absences to maintain continuity of service.
Requirements:
- High numerical proficiency and strong reconciliation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; capable of engaging effectively with lawyers, assistants, and finance colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
