Job Description
My client is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join their civil litigation practice. This hybrid position offers the flexibility of working remotely while engaging in complex and diverse litigation matters. Areas of focus may include general liability, premises liability, medical malpractice and long-term care defense, products and professional liability, construction, trucking, employment, and business litigation. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with at least 1 year of civil litigation experience looking to grow their career in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage your own caseload from inception to resolution.
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Conduct legal research and prepare internal memoranda to support litigation strategy.
- Collaborate with partners, clients, and experts to develop effective case strategies.
- Maintain regular client communication and provide case updates and reports.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and in good standing.
- Minimum of 1 year of civil litigation experience, preferably in both state and federal courts.
- Proficiency in legal writing, discovery, and motion practice.
- Experience with fact and expert witness depositions is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
- A self-starter with sound judgment and a client-focused mindset.
