Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join their labor and employment law practice. This professional will provide critical support in matters ranging from single-plaintiff claims to class and representative actions, managing responsibilities throughout the entire litigation lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees case management from inception through resolution, including discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial wrap-up.
  • Drafts and responds to written discovery such as interrogatories, requests for admission, and document requests.
  • Prepares and processes subpoenas for records, ensuring timely issuance and compliance tracking.
  • Assists in deposition and hearing preparations, including exhibit compilation and organization.
  • Conducts document and deposition review, drafts detailed summaries, and manages document production workflows.
  • Supports the preparation of dispositive motions with accurate exhibit assembly and citation verification.
  • Develops comprehensive case timelines and factual chronologies to support litigation strategies.
  • Performs investigative research, including background checks, litigation history reviews, and social media analysis.
  • Utilizes Excel for data entry, formatting, and analysis related to case documentation.
  • Handles additional duties as assigned by attorneys or management.

Requirements:

  • Paralegal Certificate required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years’ litigation experience is required, with strong familiarity in labor and employment law; prior law firm experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced data functions (formulas, sorting, formatting, multi-tab use, etc.).
  • Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a professional and collaborative demeanor.
  • Strong research, analytical, and proofreading skills; capable of managing large volumes of data and documents.
