Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join their Education Law Group. This is a unique opportunity to support K–12 public and private schools, community college districts, and other educational institutions in navigating complex legal matters that directly impact California’s students and educational systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise school and district administrators on employee relations, including discipline, dismissal, and leave matters.
  • Counsel clients on compliance with the Brown Act, California Public Records Act, and conflict of interest laws.
  • Represent educational agencies in administrative hearings and related proceedings.
  • Support clients with Title IX and Uniform Complaint Procedures, ensuring alignment with applicable laws and policies.
  • Deliver client trainings and participate in conferences, workshops, and marketing events to support client education and firm visibility.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active California Bar membership in good standing.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in labor and/or employment law, ideally serving educational or public-sector clients.
  • Demonstrated skill in legal research, writing, and client advocacy.
  • Background in administrative hearings or litigation preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships and deliver practical, strategic legal counsel.
