A software company applying AI to mortgage lending wants a senior designer who sweats the details and can make some of the most information-heavy, consequential financial workflows feel clear and trustworthy. The designer will own a major area of the platform that moves lenders toward largely automated loan origination.
Design responsibilities
- Design for one major product area, from early research through polished Figma work, in tight partnership with product and engineering colleagues
- Customer interviews and usability sessions, converting findings into design choices
- Interface patterns for multi-step automated workflows, tables packed with data and screens where decisions carry real weight
- Experiences built around AI behavior, such as showing uncertainty, letting people intervene, streaming output and recovering from errors
- Reusable Figma components and design-system resources that grow alongside the product
Ideal profile
- At least seven years of senior-level product design, with a product focus rather than brand or strategy
- A portfolio with real case studies that shows refined visual and interaction work, ideally on dense layouts and complex flows
- Advanced Figma skills, including variables, auto-layout, variants and prototyping
- Comfort working in or alongside code, and enthusiasm for AI-assisted tooling
- Experience inside established design teams, plus startup or small-team background
Remote within the United States, with some domestic travel to client sites. Visa transfers can be considered.
