Strategic Projects Lead (AI Training Data)

A company that produces training data and evaluation datasets for frontier AI labs is hiring an operationally minded project lead. It is among the most demanding seats in the business and the one nearest to the customer, with real responsibility from the first week.

What you’ll own

• Run delivery across several customer projects, tracking each lab’s needs and making sure outputs arrive on schedule at a consistently strong standard
• Recruit and manage groups of specialist contributors who create training environments and agent trajectories, guiding people without formal reporting lines
• Work with researchers to learn what matters most and reprioritize milestones when requirements shift overnight
• Collaborate with engineers on product work that shapes the in-house tooling and processes supporting each deliverable
• Inspect trajectories, verifiers and evals ahead of delivery to customers, separating genuinely useful output from work that merely looks finished

About you

• Background managing demanding, time-boxed projects for customers, ideally as a strategic projects lead or deployment strategist at an AI data company, or else in consulting, banking or operations at a startup
• At least a year in a fast-paced operations setting
• Strong self-direction, good judgment and genuine enthusiasm for AI data
• Familiarity with trajectories, verifiers and evals is a plus
• Comfort with AI-assisted coding is a bonus, not a requirement

Hybrid, based in New York, NY or Seattle. Visa transfers and new sponsorships are considered.
