Product Software Engineer (Applied AI Startup)

A fast-growing startup applying AI to businesses that operate in the physical world is hiring product-minded engineers to build and ship across its whole stack. The company is scaling rapidly, so early engineers get fast-expanding ownership and a real say in the patterns the engineering culture will follow.

Your focus

• Design and release features across the stack quickly, from end-to-end workflows through production
• Contribute new capabilities from scratch as the technical roadmap moves forward
• Build for users who live and work outside the tech industry, which calls for empathy and close contact with customers
• Hold the codebase and technical decisions to a high standard and set precedents for the larger team that follows
• Grow your own scope as the company grows, and help recruit the next engineers

Ideal background

• One to three years building software, with clear entrepreneurial drive or time at a talent-dense startup
• Product full-stack experience shipping user-facing features in React or React Native, TypeScript and Python
• Working exposure to cloud infrastructure while shipping product (AWS, Terraform and GitHub Actions are part of the toolkit, alongside Node.js and PostgreSQL)
• Ability to iterate fast without letting quality slip
• Customer-first outlook and curiosity about how people actually use what you build
• Appetite for a demanding, in-person startup pace, five days a week
