A fast-growing software company that serves investment firms active in private markets is expanding its engineering group. Revenue is climbing quicker than the headcount, so the team wants AI-fluent generalists who relish accountability for a significant slice of the product.
Core duties
- Run one product area from first idea to shipped release, steering its roadmap alongside clients and a product manager
- Deliver changes through the interface, services and database layers, letting AI coding agents generate all of the code
- Author and critique architecture write-ups, and lean on agents to help examine code changes, which takes a modest share of your week
- Sit down with clients, the sales organization and support colleagues to convert what finance practitioners need into working features
- Collaborate with staff-level engineers to strengthen your area, then absorb more of the system as you grow
Experience that fits
- Four or more years delivering live software as a genuine full-stack engineer, with room for exceptional credentials such as a leading doctoral program
- A daily habit of drafting and checking code with AI agents, plus practical experience creating things with agents or LLM tooling, even personal ones
- A degree in computer science or engineering
- A standout signal: a leading startup, a company known for engineering rigor, or a top university, along with steady promotions and a convincing reason for choosing a startup
- Working knowledge of Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, Node and AWS
Hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area, with at least three office days per week. No visa sponsorship or transfers.
