JOB-1612
Our client sells software to small businesses and their hourly teams, with a free tier that feeds a paid upgrade path. They are adding an experienced growth product manager to take charge of what customers experience in their opening weeks and to lift the share who become paying accounts.
Your focus
- Be accountable for everything a new account sees after registering, spanning initial setup, trial-to-subscription conversion and the free-plan fallback
- Review funnel behavior daily in a product analytics tool, locate the points where people abandon, and team up with designers and engineers on remedies
- Operate a rapid experimentation program that brings owners and staff to value sooner
- Create segment-tailored setup journeys with the growth marketing team, for example a flow aimed at one particular industry
- Define an AI-first approach to setup, and show through results that your shipped AI capabilities actually work
What you bring
- At least eight years in product, four to five of them centered on growth, activation or setup experiences rather than acquisition marketing
- Ownership of the first-run experience for a complex product whose sign-ups include people with varied objectives
- A record of running the whole journey yourself, ideally in a lean or early-stage company
- Hands-on strength with split testing and user-behavior analytics such as Statsig, Mixpanel or Amplitude
- Close collaboration with growth marketing
Hybrid, based in Toronto or the San Francisco Bay Area, in the office two days a week. Visa sponsorship and transfers are not available.
