Senior or Staff Product Engineer (Financial Crime Compliance AI)

A startup applying AI to compliance work at banks and fintechs is hiring full-stack product engineers at the senior and staff levels. The products it ships help compliance teams get through large volumes of casework far faster, and engineers stay close to the customers who use them.

Responsibilities

• Carry meaningful product features from early conversations with users, through scoping, release and refinement
• Create agentic workflows that connect AI components with data sources to handle money-laundering, sanctions and customer-verification reviews, with people still making the final calls
• Design clear screens for case handling, reports, dashboards and workflow configuration
• Speak regularly with enterprise compliance buyers and convert their hard problems into clean technical solutions
• Deliver dependable code spanning back-end services, interfaces, data stores and the browser, using React with Node.js, TypeScript and Python

Qualifications

• Three to six years of product-focused engineering with Python or TypeScript on Node.js, ideally at a talent-dense, high-growth startup
• Experience taking products from zero to one for real customers
• Production AI or LLM features, such as agents or LLM-driven workflows, already in customers’ hands
• Comfort with APIs and databases, plus strong product sense and customer communication
• Nice to have: financial services or other regulated-industry experience, and familiarity with workflow orchestration frameworks
