A startup that offers its product through an API is looking for an engineer devoted to the developers who build on it. The role covers the whole journey, from a customer’s earliest integration to stable operation in production.
What you’ll do
- Help developers integrate with the API and keep their integrations healthy once live
- Diagnose technical problems and fix recurring ones at the source
- Produce code samples, documentation and other developer-facing material
- Pass developer feedback to the engineering team and shape it into product improvements
- Build and improve support systems, including ticket workflows, response processes and automation, ideally using AI tools
Qualifications
- Three to nine years in developer success, technical support engineering or technical customer success at an API-first company
- A computer science or related technical degree
- Proven ability to build and ship your own solutions, such as internal tools, automations or fixes
- Clear, quick communication with developers
- Familiarity with REST APIs and languages such as Python, JavaScript or Node
- Time at an early-stage startup or developer-focused platform is a plus
On-site in the San Francisco Bay Area, five days a week. Visa sponsorship is not available.
