A startup that applies machine learning to engineering simulation is hiring a product engineer to own the part of the product that customers touch directly. The role converts cutting-edge research into dependable, repeatable workflows for users in industrial and defense settings.
Scope
- Take charge of the application that customers use, working across frontend, APIs and backend data systems
- Build complete flows for bringing in CAD or 3D geometry
- Set up and launch jobs for the company’s models through guided configuration
- Present simulation output in clear visual form that engineers can trust
- Work with the research team to make new capabilities usable, stable and reproducible
- Carry features from specification through rollout, migrations and production reliability
Profile
- Five to eight years of full-stack engineering, with frontend, APIs and backend or data systems all in your own hands
- Experience at an early-stage startup or a tech scale-up
- Has shipped customer-facing software that external users depend on
- Strength in React and TypeScript plus Python, or equivalent skills; an exact stack match is not required
- Plus: 3D or scientific visualization, WebGL, CAD or CAE tooling, enterprise authentication, or customer-controlled deployments
On-site in the San Francisco Bay Area. Visa transfers considered, with a preference for U.S. citizens and green card holders because of defense-related work.
