Job Description
The firm is seeking an experienced IT Onboarding and Offboarding Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of technology onboarding and offboarding for employees. This role ensures a smooth and secure transition for new hires and departing personnel, working cross-functionally with HR, Legal Recruiting, IT, and Records departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, client-service focused, and adept at managing workflows in a high-volume, professional services environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of onboarding and offboarding across departments.
- Serve as the primary liaison for stakeholders, including IT, HR, Records, Legal Recruiting, and department managers.
- Own and oversee workflows for account creation, laptop and mobile setup, and access provisioning.
- Ensure compliance with firmwide onboarding/offboarding protocols, including security and confidentiality standards.
- Facilitate file transfers, email configurations, and equipment retrieval in collaboration with relevant IT teams.
- Deliver white-glove technical support for new hires, including orientation setup, first login, mobile configuration, and printer setup.
- Maintain accurate records in Smartsheet and other tracking tools.
- Partner with Training and Help Desk teams to drive adoption of firm technologies and assist in technology orientation.
- Support AV and event setup during onboarding periods, including summer/fall programs and lateral integrations.
- Travel to other offices as needed for onboarding support or firm events.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in IT, HR, or Information Governance, with a focus on onboarding/offboarding.
- Experience in a law firm or professional services setting preferred.
- Familiarity with Document Management Systems (e.g., NetDocuments), Microsoft Office Suite, and other legal software tools.
- Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Customer service mindset with a focus on high-touch, professional engagement.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive data and maintain strict confidentiality.
