Job Description

Our client is seeking a full-time Litigation Paralegal to join its New York office. This role provides key support to attorneys across a wide range of civil litigation matters, including large-scale, multi-district litigation (MDL). The position offers hybrid work flexibility and a collaborative team environment for motivated professionals who thrive on managing complex caseloads and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large, multi-case litigation dockets and track key deadlines.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and motion-related documents.
  • Coordinate depositions and client communications.
  • Support attorneys with trial preparation, including expert witness management and document organization.
  • Conduct legal research and assist with e-discovery and document review.
  • Prepare exhibits and manage filing and service processes, including NY State and Federal Court e-filing.
  • Provide regular case updates and reporting to attorneys and clients.
  • Organize case files in document management systems such as iManage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate preferred.
  • 3+ years of litigation experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Compulaw and iManage is a plus.
  • Familiarity with NY State and Federal court rules and e-filing procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and high-volume caseloads independently.
  • Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Experience in insurance defense or MDL litigation is a plus.
  • Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a strong team player.
