Job Description

Our client is seeking a full-time Litigation Paralegal to join its New York City office. This role will support attorneys handling a range of casualty-related matters, including product liability, transportation, premises liability, and construction injury cases. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing a high-volume caseload from discovery through trial preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain, review, and summarize records including medical, employment, and financial documents.
  • Prepare detailed medical chronologies and case summaries.
  • Organize and manage discovery materials, evidence files, and trial notebooks.
  • Coordinate communication with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and courts.
  • Draft correspondence, compile exhibits, and manage litigation support logistics.
  • Conduct legal and medical research; investigate expert credentials and history.
  • Track deadlines, court appearances, and generate case status reports.
  • Provide trial preparation and in-court assistance when needed.
  • Support attorneys across all phases of litigation, including strategy and case evaluation.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree required; ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Prior paralegal experience in litigation and/or casualty defense required.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation support tools.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
