Job Description

Our client is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join their Coverage Litigation Practice, based in Boston, MA, with the flexibility of a hybrid work environment. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a highly regarded insurance coverage team with a long-standing reputation for excellence. The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation and a demonstrated ability to manage complex cases from inception to resolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a docket of complex insurance coverage litigation, from initial analysis through final resolution.
  • Draft and analyze coverage opinions, policy interpretations, and legal memoranda. Prepare and argue motions, draft pleadings, and handle discovery-related matters.
  • Attend and participate in depositions, court hearings, and client strategy sessions.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and support litigation strategy with in-depth written analysis.
  • Collaborate with partners, senior counsel, and litigation teams on high-value, multi-faceted coverage matters.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, providing updates and practical legal guidance.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the Massachusetts State Bar and in good standing.
  • 3–6 years of law firm experience with a focus on insurance coverage litigation.
  • Strong proficiency in analyzing commercial general liability (CGL) and other insurance policies.
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting detailed coverage opinions and managing coverage disputes.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to balance independent case management with strategic collaboration.
